Alrighty, song #2 is Blood Brothers by Luke Bryan. Okay so this song is a little more solemn than I had planned for our second song today but... I'm gonna do it anyway. So, this song does kind of have a sad backstory because, as us loyal Luke fans know, Luke's brother is dead. Also, I don't have a brother but it's the same for anyone in my family and even close friends who aren't technically family. You don't have to be a blood relation to be family! It just talks about how you'd do anything for your family and that you'll always be there for eachother. You always love eachother and would take a bullet for eachother. I love my family so much and that's part of the reason why I'm so excited for this vacation! So I probably won't be blogging until after this vacation is over so....... It's a Metaphor, guys!

Today's song #1 is Life Is A Highway by Tom Cochrane and the reason I say #1 is because this is my inspirational post for today that kind of relates to my life and I will be writing a second post about family fun and stuff since I do have quite a while. I am picking this song for today for two reasons. The first is that I'm spending about seven hours today on a highway. I am on my way to Tennessee for vacation with my family and I'm very excited! But more on that later! The real reason why I picked this song is because of the lyrics. Even the title itself is a metaphor! Life is a highway! He doesn't mean your life is literally a highway! It is showing a comparison and I hope that just by reading these lyrics you will understand what this guy is trying to say. It's actually a very interesting and true perspective of life and I hope you will take the time to decipher it the way i have.

I'm choosing this song because today was my last day of school and I found out today that two of my best friends are moving to a different high school. Today was a pretty sad day and all the people who were close to those two were bawling. So I chose this song in honor of the two of them. Today's song is Windows Down by Big Time Rush! This is a super fun summery song that's just about rocking out with your friends and going with the flow. I'm kind of anticipating that this song will be fitting for tomorrow (and I won't be posting tomorrow, sadly). That's because tomorrow I am going to the fair with one of my best friends in the world. Today's song: Brave by Sara Barielles. I think this song is wonderful and really inspirational because it's about being honest and saying what's on your mind. It's also telling how words won't help you if you let them sit under your skin, which they won't. No matter what people think, stay strong and be yourself. I know that's an overused message but it's so true and this song says it in the best possible way (and the catchiest)!! Also, if you've been quiet in the past and let people walk all over you, DON'T. Be loud and proud of your opinions and tell people the truth whether it hurts or not. Trust me, it's the best way to live. If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said.
