Hello people of the interwebs! Today my song is going to be Just Tonight by The Pretty Reckless. The song is about a girl who is stuck in an abusive relationship and it's a vicious cycle but she's too numb at this point to feel the pain. So Just tonight, she will stay and pretend that everything's happy and okay even though it's not. Maybe a part of her still loves him and she's clinging to that part for tonight. But songs like this are often sung by fans who do not really understand what the song is truly about. Another wonderful song covering the same topic is Holy Water by Big & Rich. That one is also about a girl whose been abused. And whoever abused her took her innocence, took the person who she was before. She probably wants to be that person again. She probably wants someone to hold her and take it slow and be gentle with her and treat her like she really matters. It's not fair and I'm glad to be one of the good people of the world who is shedding light in this issue and thanks so much to these artists for taking it upon themselves to write these amazing songs. It's a touchy topic but it deserves recognition! I'm Back!!

Hey guys! I know it has been so long and I've been so busy and I just got back from vacation and yea. I haven't even thought about this post and I'm legit just winging this but whatever... So today's song is going to be International Harvester by Craig Morgan because we keep getting stuck behind tractors! My bestie and my family and I have been in North Carolina at the Outer Banks and it was a ton of fun. I'm kind of telling you about my life and not my song choice right now but it's okay. I'm definitely going to try to post more so I'm sorry if you guys miss me and my life. So anyhow, we had a lot of fun at the beach although the water was really cold it was still so much fun. But at least two or three times in the few weeks before we went to the beach we ended up stuck behind tractors and my mom would get kind of mad and it just made me think of this song! It's a good song not only music-wise but also it's just the perfect thing to describe a small farm town. It's a great country song and those of you who don't like the country and pop stuff I've mostly been putting on here I'm going to try to do some more rock and Celtic and classical and all this stuff you know because I love all of it and I just haven't really been putting that many different types of music on here so I will try! And I know this was a really super duper uber long post because I'm just going on and on and on but whatever most of my posts aren't like this so yea! OMG ITS BEEN FOREVER!! Sorry guys! I went to Tennessee and then Philidelphia and now since I've been back I'm running all over the place to petsit and golly goodness gracious it's been busy! Anywho, today's song is Umbrella by Rihanna because it's just the sweetest song ever! It is pure poetry! Go Ri!!! What Ri is saying in the song is that even when stuff gets bad they'll always have their love. Rain is there to represent you know bad stuff and their love is the umbrella that shelters them. Alrighty, song #2 is Blood Brothers by Luke Bryan. Okay so this song is a little more solemn than I had planned for our second song today but... I'm gonna do it anyway. So, this song does kind of have a sad backstory because, as us loyal Luke fans know, Luke's brother is dead. It's a Metaphor, guys!

Today's song #1 is Life Is A Highway by Tom Cochrane and the reason I say #1 is because this is my inspirational post for today that kind of relates to my life and I will be writing a second post about family fun and stuff since I do have quite a while. I am picking this song for today for two reasons. The first is that I'm spending about seven hours today on a highway. I am on my way to Tennessee for vacation with my family and I'm very excited! But more on that later! The real reason why I picked this song is because of the lyrics. Even the title itself is a metaphor! Life is a highway! He doesn't mean your life is literally a highway!
