Hello people of the interwebs! Today my song is going to be Just Tonight by The Pretty Reckless. The song is about a girl who is stuck in an abusive relationship and it's a vicious cycle but she's too numb at this point to feel the pain. So Just tonight, she will stay and pretend that everything's happy and okay even though it's not. Maybe a part of her still loves him and she's clinging to that part for tonight. But songs like this are often sung by fans who do not really understand what the song is truly about. Another wonderful song covering the same topic is Holy Water by Big & Rich. That one is also about a girl whose been abused. And whoever abused her took her innocence, took the person who she was before. She probably wants to be that person again. She probably wants someone to hold her and take it slow and be gentle with her and treat her like she really matters. It's not fair and I'm glad to be one of the good people of the world who is shedding light in this issue and thanks so much to these artists for taking it upon themselves to write these amazing songs. It's a touchy topic but it deserves recognition! Those of you who like sort of heavy controversial posts such as this one can tell me in the comments about other issues you guys might want me to cover. Thanks for reading...
